We have created a unique Web-based social media application that will become an alternative source of information/knowledge on everything and anything about life.
Unlike Wikipedia, in our system each user's identity and contribution is kept distinct, in fact personal points of views, anecdotes, and subjective opinions on the subject matter are valued over objective but dry information/knowledge. It encourages a different community “culture” than the existing information oriented web services, and features an innovative interface design which makes it easier to share textual and multimedia information (images and video).
These features of the system make it totally distinct from anything else available on the English-speaking Web. Although the whole approach and implementation of the concept is unique, this sort of information repository-cum-dictionary-cum-encyclopedia is very popular in a particular non-English speaking Web community, nevertheless the concept is virtually unknown in the English speaking world.
We have been inspired by the exemplars in that particular Web community, enhanced and improved the concept, and created a unique multimedia environment that is informative, personal, fun, socially rewarding, and above all “sticky”. The great success of the concept in the Web-community we refer to above is our guarantee for success in the English-speaking world and rest of the Web globally.
Our system is near to Beta stage and available now to potential investors for demonstration and testing.
We are seeking a visionary investor who will also to take on an advisory role to develop the business. The money we aim to raise will be used to hire a lead programmer to support the release of our system, its maintenance and further development, and marketing over the next 2 years.
Our projection is that it will enjoy an ROI of >200% in Year 2, with a potential exit through trade sale and/or via further rounds of private equity/venture funding. |
