This company has secured an offer from a venture capital fund, and matching funding is now being sought, to invest alongside the VC partner. Due diligence is being carried out in January/February 2012 alongside preparation of legal agreements, shareholders agreement and adoption of the company's business plan. A government enterprise agency, has offered grant aid funding for this company. This investment opportunity is HMRC pre-approved for investors who can benefit from E.I.S. (Enterprise Investment Scheme) tax relief. Start up funding of £325k is required. This investment will finance, an ICT programming team, to complete the coding of the platform, and build greater functionality, protect the trademark and IP (Intellectual Property) of the concept, allow us to hire a marketing / sales team and launch in UK and Europe initially in May/June 2012. This will also take the business to break-even trading status. Returns of at least, 5 times investment in a 3-5 year period are anticipated.
The company has a seasoned business team, which includes two chartered accountants. The company is creating an online trading platform, initially for the food & drinks industry, then transferring the experience to other industries, which suit the model. The platform brings together, buyers and sellers, in a marketplace, on its website. The platform facilitates trade. Each company or individual has their own identity and profile (people, products, videos and more) within an international community, and they can make offers to trade (buy or sell) with significant focus on the 'private-label' services marketplace. Our initial beta test group, includes one of Europe's largest Agri-Food groups, with over 100 companies in the group and trading contacts in 45 countries. These companies have already agreed to cooperate, in building and publicly endorsing the trading platform. These companies collectively have combined sales of over £2 billion. They form an excellent beta test group, which is helping shape the functionality and direction of the platform. This ensures that we will have success when we go 'live' to the industry in May-June 2012.
The success of this model is dependent on the qualified, endorsement of the platform by industry players. This company has significant credibility with industry peer groups who will champion and endorse the platform so that a community of like minded users will follow. |
