| I have developed a unique toilet training product specially targeted towards boys but also can be used by girls as well, as flexibility is built into the design. A few visitors to our stand at the recent baby trade show at Olympia, referred to this as 'a great innovation'. Not seen in the market, the interest and response from buyers has been encouraging. Product is presently at the prototype stage and I am seeking investment to bring this innovation to the manufacturing stage and have it launched in the UK, Europe, and US markets by 2012.
I intend to follow up on the launch of this product by completing the development of 2 other innovative baby products; the child safety indicator and a pram / pushchair tent. Developments are at advanced stages for both products, with further adjustments being carried out with the designs. All 3 products are patentable and provide special benefits, which the competition does not. The plan is to have a whole range of unique baby products under this company and build a brand name within the next 10 years.
We are seeking an investment of £50,000 to pay for the mould, shipping and marketing costs of bringing our product to the market, from our manufacturers in China. Our forecast shows that break-even would be achieved within 12 months of trading, and profit by the first quarter of 2013 would exceed £60,000 on the sale of this product alone.
I am also seeking an additional £100,000 angel investment for further development, manufacturing and marketing of the other 2 innovative baby products that would follow. Based on our projections, we would be making over £400,000 profit by the end of year 2 and the Angel Investors will see a ROI of over 30% by this time. |
