Funding for a Social Networking Project

Social networking has spread like wildfire with sites like Facebook and Twitter dominating the market. But are these sites really providing for and meeting the needs of users? Or are they simply an unwanted medium which contemporary users cannot do without because there is no better alternative?
Today, social networking and social media has become an essential part of contemporary society. It is used across the globe to achieve different aims and objectives from staying in touch with friends and family to toppling Regimes in Egypt. The demand for greater social networking features to better enhance the experience continues to be on the rise.
This demand for better experience is yet to be met by the existing providers. The reason for this is largely due to the structure of the existing providers, which is based on a single platform. These vary from Blogging to content uploading and sharing. This usually means that users must hop across various sites to enjoy the vast array of platforms. Recently this can be seen on most popular sites Facebook, twitter and google+. This means that users have to make the choice of migrating completely to one site at some point as Myspace experienced mass migration to Facebook and indeed how facebook is also experiencing this today, losing members to Twitter. It’s an endless circle.
The answer to this problem was originally conceived in 2003, with new features and inventions added over 2004-2009. Recently, over the last two years, our newly invented software/application has undergone rigorous development and recently the production of this unique new invention. It is designed with patentable inventions and features to meet the needs of users worldwide and aims primarily at the top platforms with added features that make it a pioneer in the next generation social networking. It is scheduled for launch in March 2012.
Over the last 18-24 months, £95,000 has been raised to cover the initial cost of production through private investors, with with an established Venture Capital company agreeing in principle to invest £500,000 on after launch of product in 2012. |
