Expansion Capital for Established Media company with over 13000 clients and 27 Staff
|
|
|
Our company offers 13,000+ customers a wide range of proven marketing products and services to give them access to buyers in other businesses, schools, and charities as well as the public sector.
For most of the first 10 years of trading, the company was a lifestyle business for the directors. In August 2008, the company started expanding and has since grown from 2 part-time staff members to 27 full-time. In that time, T/O has increased from £250K to £1.1m. This has all been managed from cashflow and the company carries no debt.
The investment level we are seeking is £350,000.
£125,000 of this investment would go into the company's cashflow. This will enable us to embark initially on two major growth phases in the 12 months after investment (including moving premises). If this were to be done from expected cashflows, this will delay the process by 12-18 months.
£225,000 would be paid to one of the directors who would step down from daily duties on completion, as it would be his share you are purchasing.
The other director plus the current established management team would continue to work for, and on, the business on a daily basis.
Months 13-36 would involve further growth and the purchase of equipment to bring down fulfilment costs.
At 5 times profit after tax multiple, the value of the company would be £3,555,000 in month 37, realising a return for the investor of £1,422,000 (a paper profit of £1,072,000).
Either a trade sale or MBO is expected as the exit. Senior management staff have been given two years to begin saving for their expected investment in an MBO. |
