Investment Deal Summary Highlights 2016 to 2017

 
Venture Giant is a funding platform that connects entrepreneurs with vetted self-certified high net worth individuals. Entrepreneurs are able to upload their investment proposal to the online platform and the investment summary is promoted and sent out to pre-qualified registered investors that are interested dependent on the sector, region and investment amount.
 
On average, out of every 5 investor applications Venture Giant receives, we approve only one investor (following checks) and since launch we have attracted over 5000 investors to register on the platform and self-certify themselves.
 
We pre-qualify and look over each investor before approving them on the platform. Furthermore, Venture Giant keeps a detailed feedback on our investors provided by our entrepreneurs, to ensure that we can deliver the most entrepreneur tailored service that we can.
 
We promote entrepreneur's proposal summaries that we have approved to feature on our platform by sending it out to investors that are looking to invest in the same region, sector and funding range - and Venture Giant never pushes an investor to make contact - instead we allow investors registered to the platform to make contact on their own volition following their interest.
 
Many entrepreneurs have built valuable contacts through the platform that they would not have been able to make through platforms like Linkedin as the contacts we have brought together would have been outside the realm of the entrepreneur's, or for that matter investor's network.
 
Following Due Dilligence some investors have chosen not to invest in the entrepreneurs they have contacted, but entrepreneurs have been able to improve their investment proposition and gain valuable insight. As is listed in Venture Giant's investor profiles, many of the investors that are registered to Venture Giant are high ranking, high achieving business individuals, many of whom have built businesses and empires from the ground up. Some of these individuals are featured in the Sunday Times Rich List, and others have sold their companies for multimillion pound exit valuations. They remain committed to seeking excellent entrepreneurs, to join them on their entrepreneurial journey and they are willing to leverage their contacts, their know how, and their mentorship to provide entrepreneurs with not only a financial backing but with invaluable guidance. 
 
Many of the investors that we approve on Venture Giant wish to make hands on investment and would not use a crowd funding network to invest their funds in - instead they look to invest a significant amount and retain a greater equity stake so that they are able to provide mentorship and a real personal overall contribution to the business they choose to invest in.
 
Though Venture Giant’s primary role is to promote and send entrepreneurs’ proposal to prequalified investors, we do not get involved with deal negotiation between both parties and so do not charge a commission on any deals consummated through the platform. This structure has proven extremely beneficial to many entrepreneurs that have a great business opportunity and has allowed them to save 5% - 8% of commission which many of the other platforms charge on the investment raised.
 
The £2.8m is only a snapshot of the deals that we have published on our network and rely solely on entrepreneurs or investors getting in touch and with us to let us know that a deal has been completed. We are also obligated to uphold our clients’ desire for confidentiality, and so there are many deals that we do not disclose if an entrepreneur or investor request us to do this.

In Negotiation between entrepreneur and investor (March 2017) from introductions made through Venture Giant: £50,000 aiming to be raised for a sports clothing start-up company

A sports clothing start-up company focusing on gym attire for women based in the North West of England has secured £50,000 in funding via Venture Giant. Another £50,000 is in the works but this time from a colleague of the angel investor. This shows the benefit of using our platform over that of a crowd funding site. Entrepreneurs can build relationships one on one with a seasoned investor, leading to further introductions, opportunities and expert advice.

The entrepreneur has stated: "I am in final stages of negotiating a deal for half the money, but the investor has a colleague who is interested in putting in the other half. I'll let you know how that progresses"

£250,000 secured for a Sales Acceleration Platform

Venture Giant has received confirmation that one of our entrepreneurs was able to secure £250,000 for their Sales Acceleration Platform. The platform is a software which connects businesses with their internet leads by telephone within 60 seconds, thereby helping businesses gain the best connection, qualification, sales and rates possible. This is the first time such a software has been developed and implemented within Europe.

Many of our entrepreneurs are repeat clients. There have been many cases where entrepreneurs were able to secure an initial round of funding through Venture Giant, only to return again because their businesses were flourishing! This is no different for this particular entrepreneur, who is currently talks with another investor to finalise £60,000 of investment. The entrepreneur had previously used our services in 2014 to great success. During our discussion, he praised Venture Giant for being ‘an excellent vehicle for us in not only finding funding but with the added bonus that some of these investors are able to bring added expertise/skillsets to the business and have already been where we are going!’.
 

£100,000 raised for a restaurant chain with an emphasis on Kiwi cuisine and meat and more funding currently in the works

The restauranteer based in London looking to expand was able to secure £100,000 from two investors registered to Venture Giant who both invested £50,000. The entrepreneur is currently in talks with another two investors who are keen to invest into the business. All the investors were introduced by Venture Giant.
 

Construction company in the East Midlands secured £400,000 through Venture Giant. Currently in talks with another investor to secure £2,000,000

The entrepreneurs are a two-man team based in the East Midlands. They specialise in high yield low risk property investments and renovation. They target and work simultaneously on various properties depending on the ease and likelihood of success in renovation. The entrepreneurs have used Venture Giant multiple times in the past to great success, and have entered into long term relationships with many of the Investors they were able to meet via our platform.
 

A Smart Restaurant Delivery Service secures £50,000 funding through Venture Giant

The business specialises in speed deliveries with orders that can be made via an online platform offering a seamless experience. The entrepreneur was able to make acquaintance with three different investors from Venture Giant, who all had expertise in the area. The entrepreneur ultimately chose one of the three to secure the total funding necessary for expansion.
 

A Super car raffle business secures £25,000

This raffle business is like no other, focusing only on supercars. The entrepreneur was able to secure £25,000 through Venture Giant to start up the business. Venture Giant’s investor database includes investors who have had expertise and investment experience in a myriad of different industries, and so we are not surprised that we were able to find an investment for such a niche project.
