As a successful angel investor, please provide some information on your corporate career – and why you are now seeking to assist entrepreneurs get their business to the next level.
I have been a Chief Executive at an award-winning financial public relations consultancy where I was responsible for company strategy and direction. The Company that I was chief executive for had an annual turnover of £4m and a team of 30 Employees.
I have also been a Director of a Group of Corporate Affairs with Boots Group PLC and I was a key member of the Chief Executives team.
I was responsible for all aspects of Boots Group PLC’s corporate reputation internationally and this included managing corporate and financial media relations, European government affairs, investor communications, heritage, and corporate sponsorship.
I was a specialist in dealing with all aspects of culture change and I am currently involved with advising the public and private sector on reputation management strategy. This includes (and is not limited to) dealing with team structures, advising and supporting firms with reputational risk management. I also provide practical support to communicate social responsibility and a business’s positioning within it.
What expertise can you provide entrepreneurs on Venture Giant, over just Angel investment?
I can provide significant expertise in top level finance. I have been exposed to a wide range of leadership positions in my career that have ranged from a non-executive and interim director with expertise in corporate strategy, venture capital, and crisis and reputation management.
