What is your experience level as an Angel investor?
Founder & Chief Executive 1998 – date
Developed the Associative Model of Data, a new approach to database architecture which is particularly appropriate to applications where speed of development and ease of maintenance are vital.
Identified and developed Sentences – applications which harnessed the Associative Model of Data and delivered multi-user, web-enabled custom database applications.
Marketed these applications in Europe and in the US, securing blue chip clients including Argos, Alcan, Sky, Electrolux, Havag, Antalis, Johnson Matthey, Lloyds TSB, Man Group and Reuters.
Founder, CEO, CTO 1984 – 1998 $80m Software Company which dominated the worldwide market for third party application development tools for the IBM iSeries AS/400 platform. Its products continue to be widely used in that sector today.
Founded, developed and sold this $80m, internationally recognised software company, achieving revenue of £21m and profit before tax of £6.8m within six years of start up.
Facilitated successful exit for VC which realised £15m return on its £50k seed investment.
Co-Founder and COO 1975 – 1983 Ensured sustained high levels of quality and productivity in application software development from a staff of more than 40 to meet client requirements and service level agreements.
