As a director of private investment group, where are you based?
We are based in the Isle of Man largely due to the considerable financial infrastructure and favourable tax regime but we are certainly not restricted by the location of potential investments
What sets you apart from other Angel syndicates?
We have numerous companies and SPV’s within the group. Our business is family-owned with no external shareholders or finance so we are very much independent and free from a lot of constrictions faced by many venture capital firms.
What types of business angel investments are you searching for on Venture Giant?
Up until about 2 years ago our investments were very much internally focused and with a broad range of diversity and skill-sets – from residential/commercial property to numerous financial and insurance products plus e-commerce and internet based businesses.
We have now reached the point whereby our cash reserves were significant and we started looking at more of a venture/seed capital and angel investment and we now use various networks looking for opportunities to assist entrepreneurs with their business proposals.
What is your investment range for entrepreneur’s investment proposals on Venture Giant?
Our typical range of investment is approximately £75,000 to £5,000,000 but this very much depends on the entrepreneur and individual business proposition.
