What is your business background as an Investor?
I have significant liquid funds to invest in up to a maximum of 3 start up/early stage companies.
I am now looking to get involved with a couple of exciting projects that I can help to bring to market and also access some of my contacts (HNW individuals and some household names in the UK and Middle East).
As someone that has been through the process and received Angel Investment in the past (in a start company that grew to £7m sales in 4 years) I have the necessary knowledge to understand the requirements both the entrepreneur (Investee) and the Angel Investor.
I have also worked with a number of HNW/Private investors in the past few years and overseen new projects in the Middle East and in the UK, the latest of which is Stock Exchange Listed Real Estate Fund that currently has more than £16m of assets under management.
Types of entrepreneurs that this investor is seeking to invest into on Venture Giant:
Start up / very early stage investments. Where I can add value by creating a workable strategy and high growth potential for the company by introducing some capital and contacts and also potentially a base.
I have set up an office facility in the Midlands (6,000 sq ft of office space set up for up to 100 users with the latest IT/Communications infrastructure already in place - total investment £150,000+ already made and this is to be used as a 'business incubation' centre for start ups.
However, I am not only looking for businesses that are able to work from our facility so if the business plan is right then I am happy to look at investments that located outside our core Midlands area.
How many investments have you made in the past?
I have invested in a new real estate fund management company in 2009.
Currently raised £16m in the fund and a 2nd fund has now been launched in 2010 and is also in the process of being listed on an exchange.
