Venture Giant has investment proposals listed from both buy out and early stage investments. I have a career spanning over 25 years in industry having trained as an accountant. In that time I have been running my own business’s over the past 15 years.

I have worked in a variety of financial, commercial and business development roles for a range of organisations in the IT, manufacturing and distribution sectors.

For the past 5 years I have part owned a small private equity house based in the North West. The current investments have all been exited and a new challenge is needed.

As part owner of a private investment business (December 2002 to July 2009) I personally handled all contracts for the purchase of 7 companies. This covered liaison with our lawyers a Top 5 law firm and project managing the whole acquisition of all parties including due diligence partners, vendors, various funding partners.

I was involved in working with a bank with a distressed investment and enabled the restructuring of a loss making business within a period of 6 months. Costs reduction program was initiated immediately to reduce operating costs by 25%. I handled all project management on the proposed floatation and merger of two like business’s in that sector.

Prior to this I handled all project management on the disposal of 2 businesses’s that I owned a stake in to PLC’s and was involved on the total process from preparation of an IM through to contract discussions and negotiations. No corporate advisor was used and both companies were exited at multiples of 10x plus EBIT’s.

I along with a number of others are investing in early stage IT companies as well as looking to provide experience and management to emerging companies.
